Newbie* How many rads?

Hi guys!

I have been searching google for a few days now but cannot find a decent answer to this...

I am wanting to build a loop which has 2x 7950s and a i5-3570K. Everything is overclocked. I have most parts already on a list and have a plan setup to where the components should go... well, all but what type (size) and how many radiators I would need to keep everything happy...

My plan was to get a 360- 45mm thick rad for the top of my case and a 240 (no idea how thick) for the front... all will be cooled by Noctua fans.

Would that be enough to keep everything cool?

That should be fine for cooling! The general rule is one 120mm radiator per block + additional 120mm. So to compare it against the "rule", you'd have an extra 1200mm of radiator to help cool and/or expand on.

A 360 should be able to keep your gpus nice and cool and the 240 should be able to keep your pc happy as well! Together on a single loop, it will work great.

You have more than enough cooling power!

Sweet! I think I'll make a nice Build log out of it because I'll need to modify my case to get those to fit biggrin.gif, and I have an idea of making it look a bit better as well, the case I mean

by the way mark that rig of yours looks really nice!

Hey Mark, I just realized how similar our rigs are! Same 3770k, Switch 810, ~128gb ssd, 1TB Hard Drive, Corsair Power Supply, EVGA Graphics card, some sort of watercooling.

Pretty sick setups.

Thanks! Let us know when you start the build log. I'd love to sub to it!

Nice! I've got some parts to make some small upgrades that should be going in this week. Hopefully it'll cure the itch to buy parts rolleyes.gif
