Can you "unboost" a 7970/7950?

Thread Starter
is it possible to undo the boost bios and just go with a run of the mill 7970 bios? it seems like only GHz cards are floating around and i'd rather not play around with the boosting clocks and throttling and all those uncertainties.

I like my overclocking nice and straightforward like before Kepler. Set a clock and the card stays at it or fails at it but does not change it. So is it possible? I know the reverse is true, that you can load a GHz bios onto a reference 7970 but can you undo that?

I'm sure you can flash a GHz 7970 to a regular non boost 7970 bios as regular 7970s can be flashed to the GHz bios.
