I'm kind of tempted to make an account and see if the guy will PM me the number, although I'm probably not the first person to think of this and he'll probably have 10,000 messages asking for it
I guess I missed it the first time I looked. I blame lack of sleep.
Those temps are pretty good but I'm still not sure as HT raises the temps with around 10°C.
Edit: And actually the max core temp in that screenshot is 85°C unless I'm hallucinating now. Under IBT it would be +5°C and imagining that it was a 3770k with HT on it would hit 100°C. So nothing special it seems.
You guys should take into account two things:
1) Those were only short prime runs. It may need a lot more voltage to be stable
2) The temps are pretty much normal considering that it is a 3570k

Are those temps normal for a 3570K 5ghz on... air?
If it's stable in p95 for an hour it might need more voltage but not "a lot more", if it was so far from stable it would have BSOD'd or failed before 1 hour, at least it was like that with my experiences.

Yes, it can, and an OC that fails after 16 hours of prime is pretty much stable, you can add more voltage but it will be a very small increment needed. Even in the Sandy stable club they only require 12 hour runs.

While there are many who run around 4.8@1.35-1.40 with temps around that. I agree with the voltage being awesome but not with the temps. And even the voltage doesn't imply that Intel has finally figured out the manufacturing process. This is only one chip. We'll have to see more chips overclocking like this before rushing into conclusions.
Would that be true if he only booted as well? All other SS shows the cpu under load but the 5.6 ghz doesn't...
Actually curious, I don't trust those screenshots by themselves either, would be nice to get CPU-Z validation and such.

We have? We want the batch number because we want to see how new this chip is. Its obvious intel changed something
