Batch 3237b493, Costa Rica...
I think is solid overclocker:)

Looks solid, yea. I have a chip about equal to that, it will do 4.6 around ~1.205v and 4.8 around 1.285 IIRC - maybe off very slightly, but that's about where it is.

Does not at all compete to other chip i posted a couple days back, which will do 4.5 on like goddamn 1.03 volts and 5.0 prime at 1.25, but >12hour stable error checking rounding higher priority >90% max ram etcetc custom blend and IBT at 1.285 - but it's still good. You probably got a great chip from older batches, like i did, not a newer amazing one, grats though

He's at 4.3ghz. It's nothing astonishing. We're talking about 5ghz overclocks

Exactly. I have a 3770k that runs IBT max memory at 4.5ghz 1.12V, but the chip still kinda sucks by the time it gets to 5ghz.

Voltage at lower clock speeds is kinda indicative of how good the CPU is, though. Pretty much all of the godlike cpu's can do 4.3 under 1v - a good one will do it in 1.1, most take like 1.17

I understand you're a noob but we don't care about 4.3ghz overclocks. Let me put it another way. The girls dont take their clothes off for 4.3ghz but they do for 5ghz. thumb.gif

for 5ghz and a 24 hour prime95 blend test successfully passed mine has to have 1.325 and 1.416 for 5.2ghz and sadly ive exchanged my cpu over 10 times...this is not an exaggeration. Those numbers on the OP/xtremesystems post..., whether for a 37 or a 35 ...would seem almost impossible.

Depends on the store I guess. My local store does allow exchange with restocking fees, but there are limits. I've exchanged 2 of the 8 bought to test 10 retails. First one bought at launch was still the best, I really sucked at binning ivy. mad.gif
Hopefully haswell is better to me. poke.gif

Little test at 5GHz but it needs so high Vcore frown.gif btw at 4.5GHz I can get quite stable enough (not 100%) with 1.1850Volt.
