My 2nd chip which is a C batch can only do 4ghz at 1.4v... Why am I having such bad luck..

OP - Not mine... My Costa Rican chip from Microcenter last month sucks ass. 4.4 @ 1.35, with Core1 hitting 81C under water.

So, I've bought 2x 3570k from microcenter and they're working like 2 different animals. The first one bought idles at 26c, second one later idles, no load at 42c, awesome.

The diff in mobo between the 2 is that the 2nd is on the z77a-gd65 from MSI that has better power management. I'd don't know if it is driving more amperage to the processor at the same voltage. #2 might be a de-lidding example.

Let me know where and what info to know which one was an earlier batch, etc. And we'll see if the theory of the later batches being improved holds.
