Newest batch of 3570K's OCing like crazy - Page 44

Hmm I wish haswell wasnt a new socket, cant really justify buying a new motherboard which is obviously gonna cost over a hundred quid just to try my luck with a silicon lotto cpu.

Guys! Am in the process of discarding my entire Ivy setup, so far its 20% gone! (10% every 24hrs). MC isn't an option for me cause I can't drive there. Where are you buying your New Crazy chips from??????????????
On the other hand how far is Haswell from plaguing the market?

Where did you get yours from?

It started in China, TLM-610. You can already buy Haswell CPUs and board over there. They seem to be selling it for ridiculous prices atm, hefty price premium for the boards and stuff. It'll be another month for the West and normal prices.

Im getting those types of temps! coolest core 19 and hottest core 29 at start-up and a constant 7 degree difference idle.. could this be because the computer is using only 1 core at idle for lower energy use??
Those temps aren't bad! What are they at full load?
On startup it's 19-29
at idle it's around 24-33
Full Load Prime 95 it's 76-82
Full load gaming I'm guessing it's 68-73

I'm using an Hyper 212 with 2 fans

mine is only a few degrees off

Those temps sound high for Prime 95, you might need to go water. See what it does on Intel Burn Test.

I will say that at 4.4 Ghz on IBT it's pulling 1.18v, I tried forcing it to do 1.2v+ and it just BSODs. So, I think I've found the limit to this particular 3570k after trying to push it on two different boards.
