Gigabyte 7950 (GV-R795WF3-3GD) - voltage locked at CC's "+20%" ? Need to raise more!

Hey guys,

I just got this beauty of a card. I am not able to raise/read voltage with MSI Afterburner (even with the cfg file fix), CCC only allows me to raise power by 20% but GPU-Z does not show me a change in VDDC. It's always 1.25.

What software do I need to raise voltage even more? What should be my max voltage?

Thank you in advance guys!

1.25 is plenty for anything. You do not need to raise anymore.

This is OCN. 1.25v isn't plenty. Perhaps flashing an older bios for that card will unlock voltage?

Well, alright then. I have this card, F43 bios has voltage unlocked. Its what I had to flash to to unlock mine.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I am just a bit frustrated that even with the mighty 1.25 I can not get a core of 1100 to be stable. frown.gif Heaven and Valley Benchmarks run no problem, Crysis 3 and arma3 make it freeze... I got the card with 1000 core stock. I would love a small overclock. That was the reason I got the card - to enjoy gigabyte's great cooling to be able to raise voltage and OC that card. :-/

Where can I get that BIOS? I can not find it here:

In MSI Afterburn you have to unlock the voltage controls. Click settings and then check the the box that says unlock voltage controls.

Try resetting the MSI AB config file. Then right click on the shortcut and add -xcl to the target.
