MSI GT70 VS ASUS G5VW

Thread Starter
hie guys,I'm new to this forum,of course its my 1st forum,,,

i wanna buy a laptop around "2300$" my options are
Msi gt70 one -452
ASUS G75SW D7H3-3D
,ALIENWARE 17X

previously i owned ASUS g53sw,to b frank i hardly used it,,,,4 months after purchase,my lap faced problem regarding charging port,it took 45 days for ASUS 2 get it fixed, one month after that, cooling fan stopped functioning,,,it took them 10 days 2 fix it,,,,even after fixing my fan,,,my graphic card used 2 get too hot ,,and some of the games which used 2 run smoothly were not smooth anymore,,,,fps reduced to 30 r 25 fps for some games like FIFA12,evn my dad's ultrabook runs it much smoother,,,and asus could not fix this problem,,so they refunded me my money back,,,but it took them almost 4 months 2 get the entire process done,,literally its been jst 10 hrs since they added refunded money on my bank account

Because of my past I'm little bit afraid of ASUS,,,and more over its coming with a gtx670m,,,,when laptops of other manufacturers around the same price comes with 680m,,,,,but the main prob is i never experienced 3D gaming,,,,and to b frank I'm longing to play games on 3D,,,,
so here r my doubts,,,,if i buy MSI gt70 with gtx680m
1.Can i still manage to play 3d games on my 3d tv? 2.Is this the same 3D as the one that we would experience on asus g75vw?

Because i heard the terms sterioscopic 3d and nvidia 3d vision,,,,,so if i connect msigt70 directly to 3D TV via HDMI,,,can i manage 2 get that sterioscopic 3d thing which i heard that asus g75vw's are capable of,,,and what exactly is this nvidia 3d vision kit can do,,,,,otherthan the 3d glasses there is another some small adapter kinda thing that comes with this vision kit 1.what is this for? (im referring 2 this adapter kinda thing that comes with 3D kit) 2.is it required 2 play 3d games on 3d tv?

I have read threads on this site and got really impressed,,,so immediately joined in the forum
PLZZZZZZZZZZ do help me guys,,,,,an information regarding my doubt would be helpful

Firstly, hello and welcome the forums.

I can see that English isn't your first language but could you please try and layout your post a little better and refrain from using excessive punctuation. It makes your post messy and it's just unnecessary. You can do this by using the edit feature under your post.

On to your post, I think you're going to struggle to run 3D games on a laptop GPU at decent frames. Is there any reason why you must have a laptop? $2300 (I assume USD) is a lot of cash that could build a great rig very capable of gaming.

Hey mate, 3D gaming isn't as hype up as you think it is, although some 3D Supported racing games are pretty neat. Not everything is really popping out at you and playing for long periods of time in 3D might not be so good on your eyes. I know it gives me headaches. Personally 3D gaming is not really all that great. Ever watch a 3D movie? Well yeah its like that but your playing a game instead. It's not worth the extra cost to pay for a 3D screen or Model since you probably won't use it as much as you think you will.

If you have a 3D TV, I'm pretty sure some 3D TV's have options to simulate 3D on any Video input (but I am not too sure about that, just saw my buddy watching regular TV in 3D on his 3D TV so I figure its the TV's ability to do so)

Are you currently living in India? I really suggest you go out and really look at the laptops you want because in the end you'll choose the one you like more. Buying a laptop isn't so much about whats inside of it but rather whats outside. Well, hardware does matter too, but I know before I went out and bought my Asus Laptop, I went and got a feel of some of the gaming laptops out there.

I saw an MSI GT70 laptop at my local computer store and liked it but when I went to touch the keyboard and really used it and looked at the laptop, I realize its just not the design for me and I didn't like the feel of the keyboard so much. I checked out an Alienware m17 also and loved it, but the price was just too high for me so I settle for the Asus which I really like the spacing on the keyboard and the feel of it, just more comfortable for me.

Goodluck and do some more reading, GOOGLE is great for researching anything before you buy.

I agreed with @ httuner about 3D screens.

I personally don't feel comfortable at watching 3D screens after a short period then my eyes got tired.

I would recommend to try yourself how it's a 3D screen before purchasing a laptop with 3D screen.

I"m not very knowledgeable in the 3D department but I can say that when you are in gaming in 3D, you'll take a significant hit in performance. Just wanted you to be aware of this.
