And please , if it has a CMOS reset switch not under the video cards ....

I am going to cut little corners this time around ...

P.s a easy over clock smoked my proc last time, and likely the board. (See sig)

Thanks again!

First of all, you do know there is a dedicated System Builder that you can make appear in your signature? You dont have to type it all out in your Sig..

Asus Rampage IV Extreme is my vote, it supports 4 way SLI or CFX, you wont be able to use your sound card, the 1x slot will be covered.

So maybe something like this for the sound card.

They also have some 90 Degree riser adaptors. But the one linked should be flexible enough to just bend it for the 90 degrees. I've stuck one in a PCIE slot under a GPU before it worked fine. Just be aware that these risers can break easy so be gentle when your doing bends.

But onboard shouldn't be that bad.

Yeah, that is the exact type of riser I'd use.

I took a look at the the Sin Hardware VRM list, and you are absolutely right. The RIVE has no doublers, so it's a true 8 phase design, but the P9X79 line all use them. That don't call it the OC king for nothing.

I replaced my 3570k with a 3930k, and my 1155 motherboard with a ASUS Rampage IV Extreme motherboard.

I also replaced my AIO water cooler with a Thermaltake CLW0217 Water 2.0 Extreme/All-In-One Liquid Cooling System.

Spec's are in my Sig, Using five 140mm Fractal Case Fan's. And a 140mm Silverstone Case fan on the side door for intake.

I have six ssd's in raid in a Thermaltake MAX-1562 5.25 HDD bay, as you can see this opened up my case.

I have to say , I am very happy with this rig!

Comments welcome!

A lot of manufacturers discontinue boards way before they run out of stock, X79 is the slowest selling platform, so I wouldn't be too scared. Also with X79 and Ivy-E a lot of manufacturers are going to bring out new higher end boards. But get the R4E.
