So I have had nothing but problems with this new Crossfire setup. Let me first get this out of the way. This is a clean install of Windows 7. Drivers 13.2 beta 7 installed only once. Had both cards working for a little while before, but I had to replace my motherboard because of bent CPU pins and got a new one (same BIOS version as before) and re-installed Windows. Now the problems are back. Cards are MSI TFIII 7950 and Sapphire Dual-x 7950. the Sapphire is the newest card and since install has been nothing, but problems. Going to RMA on monday and just get another TFIII to crossfire. Both are boost cards.
Problem is GPU1 (MSI) is around 90-99% usage while the GPU2 (Sapphire) card always is at 0-20% usage. Even if I switch the cards it is always the bottom one that doesn't get much GPU usage. It can't be the MOBO because like I said it was just replaced and they both had the same problem. Same BIOS on both MOBO's, but on the first I was running v2.5 and flashed to v2.7 to try to fix it and the new one is already on v2.7. If you look at GPU-z The MSI runs at x8 3.0 while the Sapphire runs at x8 2.0 and sometimes fluctuates all the way down to 1.1. ULPS is disabled. I am STUMPED. I feel like these two cards just don't play well together. Going to return the Sapphire to newegg on monday and exchange for TFIII if I can't get this solved. Sucks, because when I did have it working it was awesome. Was getting 60-120fps in crysis 3 at max settings with 4x MSAA.
BTW I started the benchmark again right after both GPU's are at 0% usage.
