I traded my 2 512mb sticks of patriot RAM for my friend's 2 512mb sticks. I was only able to get the patriot up to 227 mhz. One of the new sticks is hynix d43 and the other is samsung tccc, both of which, I thought, were pretty good sticks of RAM. With the new sticks, I was able to get up to 240Mhz. I was hoping to get higher though. Yes, I know it's best not to mix different kinds of RAM, but they're both supposed to be decent chips, aren't they? I tried increasing the voltage up to 2.9v (I don't want to leave it at that permanently, because neither of them have heatspreaders) If you think that higher voltages would help, I can get some heatspreaders and active cooling and set it to 3.3v with a jumper setting. The timings are set at 3-4-4-8. should I loosen them? if so, what to? I would really like to get it to 250mhz so I can run it at a 1:1 divider. Any tips?
