Question regarding Sound Blaster Z card

Thread Starter
I am putting together a new system and have decided to go with Sound Blaster Z sound card because I do a fair bit of gaming and some audio work on the side. According to the manufacturer specs, the card comes with a microphone port, headphone amp port, optical in/out, and ports for speakers. I am currently using the Logitech X-540 5.1 speakers and was wondering if it would be compatible with the Sound Blaster Z? I believe my speaker plugs are 3.5mm analog plugs (front, rear, center/sub). I'm currently using a Sound Blaster X-fi PCI sound card from like 2006 and unfortunately my new mobo does not have any PCI slots so I'm forced to retire it.

Thanks in advance.

The Sound Blaster Z should have no problem working with just about any "computer" speakers.
So the Logitech X-540 should just plug straight into the Sound Blaster Z.

Oh I see, nice.

Yeah the reason why I ask is because the specs online don't list what the speaker ports are (whether they are like front, rear, center) so I wasn't entirely sure whether it would be able to connect to my Logitech 5.1 speakers.

The 3 ports after the Mic/Aux In and Headphone port are the Front, Rear and Sub ports.
And to re-confirm, the Z does support 5.1 setups.
