Btw, are you also overclocking? and are your cards volt modded or stock?

Yes. I did that for a whole month when i sent one of my cards to RMA. Yes, many clean install of drivers in every scenario.

Haven't volt modded anything, but they are stock OC'd.

Oh and before anyone asks...I didn't spend $1000 just to play minecraft. Of course people are going to assume this like I'm some kind of moron, though. So:

I was happy at first. Than the game I play most crashes and Nvidia's crappy drivers are DIRECTLY responsible.

Minecraft crashes EVERY time with the error log below, which as you can see is blaming nvogl64.dll. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH EVERY DRIVER SINCE I GOT THIS CARD. EVEN OLDER ONES. It would be my luck that as soon as I switch, AMD pulls ahead even in the freaking driver category. However, I am seeking help. Somebody has to know what is causing this.

Specs:
CPU: 2600k @ 4.6GHz
GPU: MSI 680s in SLI 2GB
Mobo: Maximus V Formula
Sound: X-Fi Titanium
SSD: Crucial M4 256GB
RAM: 16GB G.skill 1600MHz
OS: Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit
Java version: 7, latest.
Driver version: 314.07. Have tried 314.14.

What I've done to try and resolve this:
1. Tried upgrading to Java 8 prereleases.
2. Tried on Windows 7.
3. Older drivers.
4. Turning off SLI.
5. About everything that is possible putting Java into an SLI profile with Nvidia Inspector.
6. Disabling ALL mods.
7. Using the stock launcher (with mods disabled).

Excuse me for being a bit angry, but after spending over $1000 dollars on Nvidia hardware, I have every right.

Pretty much this. At the time, AMD's drivers were crap as well, as well as their performance compared to Kepler...than as soon as I upgrade, what happens? Never settle. PFFFFT.

Oh and before anyone asks...I didn't spend $1000 just to play minecraft. Of course people are going to assume this like I'm some kind of moron, though. So:

Hmm... thinking.gif

Is this only happening in minecraft? what about other games, are they stable?.

If other games are stable, i suggest you re-install minecraft, but back up your saved files first.

if other games are not stable as well, i suggest you run your whole system at stock. No OC on the CPU and GPU's.. And if the problem still persists, then re-install windows again... Sorry i don't play minecraft frown.gif so i can't really help diagnose the problem fully, but i hope i helped in a way biggrin.gif

Have you tried the above?
Would help if you at least acknowledge that this post was made rolleyes.gif

minecraft is more cpu centric.

Java is crashing.

same problems existed on amd hardware and multiple versions of drivers for current nvidia hardware.

overly dramatic thread title is misleading and giving amd fans false hope that nvidia drivers are as bad as amd drivers.

op openly admits to coming to nvidia from amd.. yep.. sounds about right.

That post does not pertain to my issue, otherwise I would have sent out a thank you to the person who originally posted it.

Ok, seriously. Is this necessary? Take your implied fanboy crap out of here.

I SPENT OVER $1000 ON HARDWARE FROM NVIDIA. I HAVE EVERY DAMN RIGHT TO BE A LITTLE TICKED OFF. Plus, the money i spent pretty much absolves me from being any sort of fanboy. Not only that...but lately? AMDs drivers have been better.

If you want to be useless in this thread (and that's what you are), take a hike.

I do however appreciate those attempting to help.

Anything Java. Except jdownloader, oddly enough.
