a 750 really isn't needed tbh, At stock a 750 watt can do 3 7970s so long as you don't furmark (but thats an unrealistic load tbh) Even with 4 7970s and a 5.9ghz ivy (Ive got phase cooling) I still don't go above 900 At the wall when in a game that ramps all gpus to 95%+

Guys, the OP is getting an 3970X and an Extreme 11, he's not trying to save money lol.

also mind you he's getting 6 HDDs, that will use a bit of power.

Also he has 7 pci e slots, he will probably put more power consuming stuff in it, it makes sense to get a 1000+ Watt PSU.

PS. I would prob get barracudas rather than WD greens.
