(btw, for a person who plays TF2, is lately got a bit addicted to minesweeper rediscovered GTA Vice VCty and some C&C games there isn't too much of a need right tongue.gif )

Because at least me i do play games on my rigs? or just because i like to config my rig to perform at the fullest>?

If i want to play games plug and play i will fire up my consoles...

But no i dont think you will need it then.... Maybe you are browsing the wrong topic as well XD

It's also not like the 7970GHz has that much more OCing potential. Say a 1250MHZ 7970GHZ and 1176MHz titan. Both are just under 20% above their normal stock clocks.

Absolutely and I agree with the mostly consistent reviews, but what is the review thread we are posting in right now? I mean since the first page, people were seething to bash it and prove it wrong.

The Titan oc very similarly to the 680 interms of %oc/%fps gained and it should. The 7970/680/titan all oc very well and seem to stay in line with each other with the previous ratio.

i play games sometimes too, just lately the situation is a bit different with the recent rediscoveries and school.
and last thing before we'd return to the Main Thread topic (or try tongue.gif ), i thought you are limited by the game's graphical settings and i find it a bit hard to believe that RP can improve something with that bottleneck. (possibly wrong here)

This thread is hurting my brain tongue.gif

So, let's try the same reasoning... one 7970 Toxic costs 700 USD, you could buy 2 7950s for 600 bucks, XF/OC them and it would beat the living crap out of a Toxic version.
Better yet, get 2 toxics and 3 regular 7970 GE, 1400 USD vs 1200 USD.
Again, the 3 7970's would beat the crap out of the Toxic - unless there is a problem with XF scaling/profiles.
But if you are looking for the best performance in single card from those 3 options, the toxic will be king regardless of price.
Performance doesn't scale linearly with price, especially when it comes to premium hardware.

That's what the Titan is, best single GPU performance and it comes at a price, if you feel it's too expensive, it's allright. However if people want to buy it, it's their choice to do so.
Now if you take the price out of the picture, someone asked you: "It's free, what do you want? 2x 7970 Toxic or 2x GTX Titans?"

If you go with the 7970's, I have news for you, you are a fanboy.

What bottleneck?

All i need is 60 fps and a good res to get rid of the jaggies.. I see no point at all letting the cards go that high on frames..
I want 4k to get stable so we can get it for cheaper and finally get rid of this jaggies for once...

I cannot stand the min frame drops when running at such high fps.. I hate screen tearing as well so im a vsync on all the time...

Anybody who actually thinks a 7970 of any variation could ever have a chance of beating a Titan.........lol you're silly

Well if I chose the toxics, I would of had them 7 months ago...and still spent $600 less.

I really do not see your point here. When the toxic came out, 7950s were $400-450 dollars still and 7970s were $450-$500.

the bottleneck i was talking about is the game itself, i.e. the max graphical settings are limited by the game itself and thus the performance. (not talking about the dynamic Vsync, this alone is already an awesome reason to download this)

Well if you went with 3 regular 7970 you would have them 7 months ago, spent less money and way more performance.
And you still don't see the point?
Also, I said if you take the money out of the equation and still choose the 7970's, and you went there and added money as reasoning for your pick, you clearly don't see the point.
