RE post 2: You're right, but as am I, benchmarks and marketing does a good job making sure there's no clear cut winner in any situation, and as long as there's doubt, that's when people will argue.

Personally I don't care, I won't ever buy one my 7950s do good enough a job, and I have other cards for my compute needs. But its interesting for me to see why other people need the power.
They never give a clear cut winner in most senerios and it is because of marketing. As long as an item or group is in the lime light people will draw attention to it and it sell more.
Its kind of like the tycsyndicate reviews. A lot of ocners say that their are wronge. For this reason or that. But they don't look at the fact that ocing is different in all set ups. some may need this many volts others do not. So yet the reviews are automaticly wrong. Yet the whole time keeping every ones attention on them items.

Far from a Slideshow, but you keep spreading your uninformed opinion around, it's what you do best.

I'm currently playing Sleeping Dogs on Extreme Textures and getting 50FPS VSync OFF, and it feels and plays very smoothly. If it didn't, I'd continue tweaking until I got smooth playable settings.

I've yet to come across a game I can't play: Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs, Anno 2070, need I go on?

Yes, not a couple, 14.
Less than 15% slower than the 7870 is hardly a slide show. That and the 470 clocked extremely well and scaled with those clocks too.

Mine is clocked at 800 core / 1800 memory. wink.gif

It got turned into something else because of your sensationalist uninformed opinion. See in bold.

I doubt titan will be useless in 2 years from now... After Metro there is nothing left and that one is around the corner.. After metro is more console ports lol...

It will be useless money wise tho..Cheaper alternatives down the road... Maybe even new technology as well..

Next gen consoles will be x86 and amd based so amd gpus will have an edge when it comes to porting.

Yep, i think AMD is in the right track this time... Have all console market for himself and profit all around ((consoles and pc...))

I dont know what nvidia is going to do for the next 5 years XD, lets see.

If they do better driver support and manage to squeeze those cards to the max... UFFFFF!!!
All i see is red and black...

Probably suffer from the same porting issues as AMD since PCs still have deal with the same old restricting APIs as before....

Similar hardware is hardly reason to claim better optimization (at least noticeable) if you have to access it through different means on different devices.

I dont know about that.. I would wait before jumping to those conclusions...

You have to understand that devs would have more time to optimize that code for that system... I bet you amd would work close to them as well..

Im not seeing amd holding new gpus and doing an emphasize on driver coding for the rest of the year because they just wanted to... Theres a reason behind and i bet you is because of the new consoles...

Im liking more this AMD approach than the new gpus every year...

Devs would have it easy to make games for starters, the right support, the right files....
Proper optimization is just gaming heaven my friend..

We have different opinions of what useless is. That is fine.
