You will be happy with amd they seem to be really working hard on making their drivers top notch i upgraded from a 5970+5870 to 1 7970 and was happy and ended up getting another even tho im only running 1080P right now.

For a single monitor i would have to agree with the 7970 ghz , they are just about perfect for 1080p. You will save some money too.

yes, just one 7950. other brands have higher stock clocks. like i said, oc the cpu and keep the gpu stock in most games. metro i had to oc just a little. c3 for for sure will require both cpu and gpu oc's.
