just curious if i should disable/enable speed step?if i enable speed step sometimes when i am running games or app it jumps everytime between 1200 to 4600 not always stable on 4.6...the thing is i disabled speed step so meaning i am running 4.6 24/7 can it harm my cpu or something?i am using 1.367V getting 70C max while testing with IBT AVX.
thanks!

Probably because they aren't using much of the CPU? Have you actually noticed a performance drop in the games?

I leave it on.

Mine does the same thing and i also use offset voltage so if my computer is idling it will consume even less power since that 3930k is power hungry.

I am also using offset mode...so to solve the problems from jumping i have to disable offset mode and use the regular one?

if you don't want it then yes turn off speed step and turn off c-states with fixed voltage.

I think i am going to stick up with speedstep enabled....cuz i read on the internet in increase the lifetime of the cpu...so i reverted back to on and disabled all C-states...even if i disabled all c stats my pc will still use low volt while idle right?

What problems? You haven't actually said what problems you're having.
