PSU Fan Change:

You need these two things:
Noiseblocker BlackSilentPro PC-P 80x15 - FrozenCPU or Highflow.nl
3-Pin Standard Fan Connector (Male) to Mini 2-Pin GPU Fan Connector (Female) - ModDIY

If you don't want to order the adapter, you can also solder the wires onto the connector from the original fan. The connector is a "standard" molex part, but I don't know the part number for sure. It's the same type as is used in GPU fans, but then 2-pin.

I am wondering what other colors I should do as I ordered the grey for now but still thinking about it.

I hope I can find everyone that belongs to those numbers so that we can fill it up nicely for the owners list! What do you guys plan on doing for your HDD/SSD set up?

Getting mine in all satin black steel. Plan on making a custom window as I don't really care for the full plexi side.

I have a 256 Sandisk SSD coming along with 3570k, Z77E-ITX and 2 x 4GB of samsung low profile RAM. Have an old 320 GB notebook drive I'll probably toss in for some extra storage. I had some ideas for doing a themed build, but I may just do that with my next rig. I've been toying with the idea of doing everything in black. Tubing, fittings, blocks. Everything but the res and coolant. That I'll do in UV Green along with the power switch. Kinda like a glowing green heart in the middle of the rig. Not sure how it would turn out.

I think the full black with the UV green would look super awesome. Could be kind hard to pull it off but if you were able to it would be stunning

As of now I have a 128gb ssd and a 2TB 3.5 inch drive and I was just curious if anyone else was going to be using 3.5" drives and how they were gonna go about doing it. I like the idea mentioned by some one about the raid 0 Western Digital Scorpio Blacks but that will cost about $180 lol.

I am wondering what other colors I should do as I ordered the grey for now but still thinking about it.

I hope I can find everyone that belongs to those numbers so that we can fill it up nicely for the owners list! What do you guys plan on doing for your HDD/SSD set up?
Gray is nice too. If i were to order a 2nd unit, it would definitly gray.

I got my exiting Samsung 830 120GB SSD but thinking of utilizing the built in m-SATA port on the Asrock Z77E-ITX board. I understand that the port only can support up to SATA 3Gb/s speed right? And i afraid that i have to cut some part of my CPU waterblock back plate as to make way for the m-sata ssd. Anyone can put some light on this issue?

I've been contemplating how to clean up the cabling with this build and wanted to ask your guys' opinion. I'm not looking forward to dealing with the pinout on the ST45SF-G. It's not even close to ideal for sleeving. However, since I'm doing an all black theme (or at least considering it), I thought that I might just make my own cables with black wiring. I'd have to get crimpers, pins, and possibly plugs but I figure that the little touches will make this build amazing! Anyone have any thoughts or other ideas?

I'll be ordering one more for myself but I'm gonna wait until everyone else's orders are in so not sure what # mine will be. Thanks golfer for putting this together! I'm so stoked to see a club for my case! Can't wait to see what everyone does with theirs.

Using black cables w/o sleeving is a really cool idea. The narrower wires would be a huge plus given the space, as long as you use new wiring w/o kinks. Last time I was at Radio Shack they had green wire too so that could be an option given the UV green you're planning to use (although it is darker and more of a forest green than toxic/lime).

@ spidey - A single color scheme on the sleeving would look good since most of the wires on the SF PSU crisscross. There's a thread regarding sleeving on the SF Psu - could look into up for you if you'd like. I've been thinking of doing a near similar thing with the only SFF PS on the market that's gold rated by adding some accents in the sleeving however the crisscrossing nature of their absurd pin-outs has left me very crippled

A very nifty idea by going full steel and later modding the sidepanel - wish I could do that but I know every inch of the case innards are meant for viewing.

I know the case would be distraction enough for my buddies to game later and ogle now!

@ aliff - I too was contemplating using the msata port but I've been reading of most people having clearance issues with the bottom the board and the case panel - and the new issue you've mentioned is the need to cutout some of the support from the waterblock backplate. If I were you, maybe look into the Heatkiller 3.0 waterblocks - since as of 2010 they stopped providing the backplate of the block and have washers that (according to watercool support via email) say is more than adequate to apply proper mounting pressure on the cpu and block. Though my advice will need a lot of salt for digestion in light of your chosen watercooling hardware.

Question to all - Watercooling ; Custom or H220?

@ golfergolfer - I just had a lil idea - why don't we include a chart to show off the members color scheme and their numbers(for now)? and possibly have a pic of the members case under their names? instead of having the list of people with the cases? when all the purchases and orders have been finalized?

looking at the specs to see if it can fit my hardware. Under the PSU it says "SFX." I have a silverstone ST55F-G, Newegg says it is ATX but it is 140mm long. Will it fit or am I going to have to work some wizardry here?

I will be ordering custom sleeved cables from ModDIY that are SUPPOSED to work with the PSU. My friend did it for his PSU and they turned out decently ok so I will be doing the same.

I say custom watercooling but if you do not feel like dropping the money to do it the H220 is a great alternative!

We can definitively do that! I have an idea of how it world work already! Not sure how to put it together now as no one has their case but renders are an option too

We can continue talking and figure something out

I cant link you to the site here but if you want shoot me off a PM and I can get you jumped started on it if you are planning on buying one
wink.gif
As for the PSU I dont think yours will fit because the specs for it are

150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H) x 140 mm (D)

Versus the ST45SF-G which is

125 mm (W) × 63.5 mm(H) × 100 mm(D)

So you might have to work some magic

Well reality should have hit sooner, guess I got too excited when I saw the case (and then jumped to the website). If I was able to fit the psu (which may not even be an option) I would also need to find a way to fit a 3.5" drive. I'd buy a new psu but to add a 2.5" drive.... that's not in the cards now
frown.gif

- I do have an external 2.5" Usb 3.0 1tb drive though.... I wonder if it uses a Sata to 3.0

I personally would still like to find a way to fit on a 3.5" drive no ideas have been submitted yet but I think the best place for it might just be a custom bracket off the back of the case. Kinda like a hotswap spot but it will take away from the case a bit which is something I do not want to do.

Here's another suggestion, why not have the original threads link posted in the OP? That way we can guide people following this thread from the main page to the original and keep this thread intact/relevant to the thread title

Hehe, that was my idea
smile.gif
. I'm still thinking about doing that, so I'll post my results if I do decide to go down that road.

I am using my 256GB 840 Pro for Windows, games and software, then hopefully that Scorpio raid setup or a single 750GB Scorpio for data storage. I have a 2TB NAS too, so I don't need so much to be stored on the computer.

Add me to the club! I am the lucky guy with 001. Will verify when the case arrives.

Ohhhh so YOUR the one with 001

Added! As for the set up I currently have a 128gb M4 and a 2TB Caviar green. I think I might pick up a 750GB Scorpio drive as I am only using about 650 GB of my Caviar Green but I will be checking to see if two fit first as I would have to get the second one some time soon. How do you think you would mount both of them if you did it?
