Looks like it's going to be Haswell + ROG ITX in my CS.

FYI:
Overclocked 3770K @4.7GHz (1.416v) + Titan (max power draw) + 2 SSDs and 1 HDD is dangerously close to the limit of the 450W SS SFX PSU. I have instances of hard resets when the Titan works hard when it is usually stable on a larger PSU. At least I think it's the PSU.

As much as I want that freaking rog board, I may just wait. I'm not really liking most of the reviews from the new 4th gen Intel processors. Might just wait for broadwell and Maxwell to build a new rig. From what I've been reading, my I7 3770k should run cooling and overclock higher than the new haswell processors.

That sounds high voltage for 4.7Ghz. What kind of cooling do you have on the CPU?

Yes, and another possibility if making a custom cable would be to run 14 individual wires from the 8-pin on the psu so that it won't be sharing cables with each other in the other end.

I'm not exactly an electrician so I'm not sure if that could be done, but I'm just thinking that would get some load of the standard 8 wires which is splitting...

Edit: I think it would look better also tongue.gif

Well it's the three +12V wires which are the bottleneck. Indeed it's a good idea to split them at the PSU side into six.

Yeah it's a fairly bad overclocker. I'm running an NH12 CP SE14 right now because I changed my case and it's the best cooler I can fit on it. Was running the H80i before (on a 1000W PSU). Now with the SFX PSU and the Noctua, Prime 95 causes it to downclock, but the game I'm running (warframe) maxes the cores at around 83 degrees, so it's pretty ok. Question is, can an OCed 3770K at 1.416v with an OC Titan (265W) max out the PSU ya think?

WiSK

(Look at my awesome drawing)

The reason I was thinking running all the cables from the psu side was so that I don't have to get the ugly split as it usually is. I think it will look better if you just make a tiny y-split at the end right before the connectors, but I might be wrong smile.gif

Edit: It really isn't a split I'm just talking about separating the cables rolleyes.gif

Like what I did here? The three 12V wires (blue) are split half-way into two, and one of the ground wires (white) is split as well. So 8 pin -> 6+6pin. For 8+6 you'd have to split two more ground (white) wires.

But for the 780/Titan I think you have to split at the PSU because it ensures none of the 12V wires will have to carry more than 3 amps.
