Among the first 20 I recall the orders being from mostly international customers. You golfer are among 8~10 other people...if memory serves me well. Congrats on the first 20 receiving their cases
really eager to see them pics and ofc the custom colors some of you chose
I do have one small gripe with Kyle's email - the part that concerns me the most is when he mentioned this:
Production on the remaining cases will be handled a little differently than originally planned. As most of you know, our fabricator Dwood is swamped with orders… not just for Compact Splash, but also for his other customers on OCN. In an effort to help him expedite those orders, and wrap up ‘Splash as quickly as possible, he’s going to finish what he can next week and ship the remaining cases to me for paint, assembly and finally shipping them to their owners.
While that will cost us a bit more money than originally planned (as will outsourcing paint, if we decide to do that), this should make for a faster process in the end. I’m willing to absorb the extra cost as it’s important to me to fulfill your orders as quickly as possible so you can finish your builds and start enjoying your new machines!
^ seriously though if You and Dwood can post back a realistic deadline
and I mean something like a month tentatively from now...I'd be happy to know that provided it means that you won't incur a loss on your end, costs are relative to those asked for while purchasing and things haven't been rushed to meet our expectations.
Often, in order to meet customers expectations, the provider ends up cutting some corners - I wouldn't want that(as am sure most of you guys, cases 21~50, are) mate ---> but provided there's the news from both you and Dwood and maybe a contingency plan in case the deadline is slipped like the last time.
