WiSK - stepped drill bit huh? I'll try looking out for that when I go down to the hardware store this coming week. Might not find it here with that term but would there be another name for that drill bit? A very good suggestion btw mate, much appreciated. Thank you for offering to help us out though your advise is more than enough(and the shipping would be outrageous biggrin.gif )

Here's some news I dug up a couple of minutes ago:
http://vr-zone.com/articles/intels-broadwell-k-launching-end-2014-according-new-roadmap/60966.html
http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20130829163840_Intel_Changes_Plans_Core_i_Broadwell_Processors_Will_Be_Available_in_LGA_Packaging_But_There_Is_a_Catch.html

I think I take back my advice for holding out until Broadwell comes out.

I'm now thinking of hanging onto my A85X-itx mobo and go all out with an i5-4670K+MSI Gaming AC mobo or a rather beefy combo like Heuristic did.

I need yo help brotha's! mad.gif

I'd offer to do this for you guys, but you are both very far away.

Yay! An excuse to buy a step drill bit! I really need one but couldn't justify the cost for the very few occurrences where I needed it.

Thanks again guys!

According to wiki it's also called a unibit.

I have been looking at the MSI Gaming myself, but got to focus my wallet at my 'Splash build at the moment smile.gif

There's some tools I've bought that have been used once and forgotten. Step drill bit is not one of them - you will find uses for it smile.gif

Hey guys i'm new here on OCN forums! I'm lucky to be proud owner of #98 Compact Splash. Thanks SLE! One of my main concerns for my build was the PSU being only 450w. I read someone here mentioned about Silverstone looking to upgrade to 600 watt. drool.gif I found a video on youtube if anyone's interested of Silverstone showing their product line this year at CES including 600 w SFX PSU. Later this year is way to open ended :l

I don't want to buy the 450 and then a few weeks later have the 600 come out.

I've been thinking over the weekend about why they stopped the release annoucement. From the video, he said info was leaked about a 550W PSU. Then he says they made a recent breakthrough and he mentioned 600W. So it might just be that they had the gold certification for the 550W and were about to release it, and then managed to get better results on a new prototype, and now they have to submit again to Ecova to get the new one certified. It could well be that this will add significant time before they can go towards production. Also I'm guessing that starting production has a significant investment for the Enhance factory to actually manufacturer them, so they don't want to pay that twice for a 550W now and a 600W later.

Do you think the 450 could handle a i7 4770k with a 780ti?

If you don't overclock either of them, then yes.

I've been obsessively researching about the ETA of this new Silverstone SFX PSU. If the ETA is too long I will just get myself the 450w version again for the time being. Last thing I heard about the 600w version is that it is expected to be released in March which is waitable(yes, I created a word tongue.gif ) considering EKWB and Highflow haven't even shipped my orders yet (even though everything was ordered the 22th of December). At the moment waiting is inevitable so I'll hold my money and see what happens.

Will be no problem at stock voltages but very little headroom for overclocking and efficiency loss over time.
