The reference 670 PCB is much the same as the 660ti, some of the memory is in different places, but all short 670 waterblocks work on the 660ti. Also, some non-reference 670s use the 680 PCB.

Nicest looking block for the 660 Ti is (in my humble opinion) Watercool's Heatkiller block. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Remember that in Compact Splash you'll mostly see the back plate through the window. Might be interesting to spray paint this. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I personally prefer the EK 670 block and its cheeper in the UK than the Heatkiller block.

This block should fit my 660ti right? After reading around and from yours and Aliff's comments and www.coolingconfigurator.com it looks like it does. Im not missing something that could cause it not to fit correctly am i?

The only thing about the ek block is that the ports point downwards.

oh yeah frown.gif. And if i use the Watercool's Heatkiller block and can have a drain port alot easier as well. Hmmm. back to the drawing board. Think the Heatkiller is the front runner now though.

That heatkiller is drool.gif-worthy! Best backplate ever! And I actually like the short PCB cards... they just look like they belong on a MITX board.

Wanted to let you guys know first... I'm leaving the shopping cart open another 24 hours to catch any stragglers. So if anyone's bummed they missed out, you've got one more day. When I set the original deadline I didn't realize it was on a holiday. doh.gif

That won't delay production confirmations for those that have already orders, which I'll start sending out today.

Also, check this out: our count is now...

[calculating... typer.gif ]

42!! That's counting Lutfi and Pepe as we've worked out payment arrangements that won't delay production.

Cheers!

SLE

42 is a grand number. biggrin.gif

I've discovered that my GPU length will be yet another reason my CS build will have to wait. The 7950 is just too darned long without the IO delete. I'll have to hope the next gen cards feature some high-end, shorter PCB models. It'll give us more time to demand more from ITX board makers.

I'm 037 and I assume, if nobody else has ordered since I did, that makes it 37 units.

EDIT: Spoke too soon. 42!

The 7950 is just on the edge of the maximum GPU length with the front io included. I figure if I need to gain a couple mil, I can shave some off the bracket holding the io.
