I just ran across THIS article on Tom's Hardware. I'd be interested to see what kind of temps a person could get on Ivy with this kit. thinking.gif

Do you guys know if m4 radiator screws would work on a alphacool xt radiator?
Anyone add an extra Color-matched Steel side panel?

Deleting the IO seems to give a more clean look and can accommodate a more longer GPU later.. doh.gif dunno what to choose.. thinking.gif

Can it fit a GTX690 or R7990 with the IO deleted? Can the 450W SFF PSU feed them? thinking.gif

I was thinking about getting one but my cutting skills are not too great so I decided not too. And without the IO it may be cleaner but in the long run I think that the benefit of it is better thumb.gif

@WiSK I was gonna get those fans too but it would have cost me an extra $120 to get them frown.gif

The 7990 or 690 are moot points anyway with this system and the current SFX power supplies. They're both too power hungry. The Titan on the other hand might be a more feasible option. However, even there the power will be pushing it. The Titan with a waterblock will OC itself to ridiculous proportions. And then you're running into power issues again.

No it would not. Alphacool rads use M3 screws.
Pretty much everyone else uses M4 screws tho.
You might be able to get a M4 tap and rethread the rads to accept M4 screws.

Cheers cheers.gif

As Spidey says those are very hungry cards. If you want to OC your CPU then aim for 680 or 7970 as GPU. SLE is running a GTX 570 in his, which is hungrier than both those cards. And he's overclocked his i7-3770K so probably take that as your limit. Titan might be doable but then I would leave everything on stock and I'm sure the PSU fan will still be unbearable.

Ahahah i saw that mars III april fools by ASUS earlier but not the razer one. Google's 'Gmail Blue' video is a classic!

I was going for blue/white/battleship grey also... might have to change my order to a white power button like you so it doesn't clash if i change colour scheme.

GTX 570 is uses more power than a 7970? Thats great to know, might mean i have a bit more head room for over-clocking my GPU than i thought i would biggrin.gif
