Build Results: Loop works, temps are good!

Hey guys, I've decided to start water cooling. I found some cheap WC parts and bought them for my loop.

Here's the hardware I'm working with.
Case: Bitfenix Shinobi XL - White, Windowed
CPU: i7 3770k
GPU: XFX 7870
Mobo: Z77a-G45
PSU: TX850W
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB Sector 5, 2x4GB G-Skill)
Fans: Bitfenix Spectres + Gelid Silent 12

_____________________________________________________________________________

And my WC parts with the price. (Made sure that everything is copper/nickel, no alum)
CPU Waterblock - $24
7870 Waterblock - $70
Was originally going to do a GPU loop also, but I made a mistake and ordered the wrong GPU block
Ended up buying a $50 gpu waterblock, working greattt
Water pump - $19
Cylinder Reservoir - $22.5
360mm Copper Radiator - $55
3 meters of 10x16mm white UV tubing - $12
10 black compression fittings - $40

Total + Fedex shipping = $250

I also bought some individually braided cables (no heatshrink)
8 pin $5.50 (black)
6 pin x2 $5.50 (1 black, 1 white)
24pin $9 (black)

Estimated arrival date for my WC parts is the 12th.
I'll start posting pictures of my current setup (with stock coolers) sometime tomorrow.
Hopefully start the build on Thursday after my exams.

Subscribe to see if the Chinese parts fail miserably or not! smile.gif
Expect quality photos!

Seriously, this.

That lighting is amazing, especially the lighting behind the monitors. Probably helps a lot with eye strain in the dark.

They're also RGB leds smile.gif So I can set them as any color. Here's a picture of my old setup with the leds as red.

They have some pretty good feedback on their item's build quality.
I bought 2m of clear tubing so I can do an external test loop before putting it into my system.

Also, most watercool'ing, computer hardware, the works are made in China.
I find that as long as you're not buying "replica" ****, Chinese quality stuff is actually pretty reliable.
I understand what you mean about low quality junk though, and I do somewhat agree. (thus why I bought extra tubing for running a test loop first)

We'll find out if it's crap later this week!
