Do you mean better off getting fans with higher static pressure? If you do, what fans would you recommend over GTs? They have just about the highest rating there is, and many posts seem to confirm that.

these are underrated, but are very good
swiftech helixes are alright
noiseblockers, and the be quiet! silent wings are also good

but GT's are fine

tbh no matter what fan as long as cfm is around each other temp difference wont matter much

Still not sure what you meant, but, never mind.

I second the Swiftech Helix for bang for buck. I switched from Gentle Typhoons to them as I did not like the whine I was getting from the GTs. I will not say the Helix were quieter, I do not think they are, however, they are very quiet and the quality of the sound is far less intrusive. I did not notice any difference in temps, but, I am willing to concede that they are not as good based on specs and user comments. They are, however, pretty damn close.

I do disagree with the last statement. If I understand your comment, and I am not positive I do due to grammatical errors, CFM does make a difference. Static pressure is probably just as important, if not more, especially on thick rads, however, it is only logical that higher CFM equals more cooling potential. There can be a significant difference from one type fan to another. If you mean to say there is not much difference between fans with similar CFM, then I would agree as long as there is not much difference in static pressure, as I saw switching from GTs to the Helix.

that's what i meant

ofc 20cfm fan cant cool as well as 100cfm fan

as long as they're near each other (helix vs gt) cooling is about the same.

Corsair SP series fans are good but I feel that if your going to pay that premium price, I would go a different direction. Noiseblocker eLoops. They have higher CFM and higher static pressure plus you get 2 sets of sleeved cables. Good Luck.

why does no one recommend xspc or the swiftech equivalent? is it because theyre sleeve bearings?

for the price you can replace them every 2 years and it would be 8 years by the time you spent about $25 per fan.

Well I see the sp120's for a set of 2 is 25 bucks with a coupon of 7.5% off. I can get away with a pushpull config on a 480+360 for $162. From what I read they are pretty good fans, comparable to ap-15's.
