Monoprice 27" 2560x1440p Friday! - Page 2

Ordered my monoprice monitor on Monday at 4pm with Norco Overnight, and got it the next morning at 9 am (Do not think they rang my doorbell either). Extremely fast shipping and the box was not damaged at all. The monitor does have an extremely small crack on the very top of the bezel which probably occurred because Norco had the box upside down but not a big deal at all.

Overall I have counted zero dead/bright pixels after many tests and the back light bleed is acceptable and less than what the Asus TN monitor that's being replaced had. Screen quality is amazing and a huge improvement over everything outside of my IPS laptop. The only flaw is the stand is complete garbage and feels like the screen will fall forwards at any moment. I will probably have to replace it with a much higher quality one.

I recommend this to anyone wanting to buy a korean monitor but wants peace of mind with a 1 year warranty. It was a great deal with 10% off coming to $360 shipped in less than 17 hours to my front door. The only bad part is these monitors fly off monoprice's website in literal hours and you have to go there every weekday just to have a good chance at buying one.

I used the 10% off as well and it was around $370 shipped. Received it last night (east coast). Hooked her up and she is quite nice looking and large. The stand is so wobbly due to the fastener at the bottom protruding to much (easy fix). Colors look great, seems responsive, and just gorgeous in comparison to my old.

My only complaint is light bleed. I have emailed Monoprice C.S. to see what we can do. I could easily live with it, but I really wanted this to be the total package. If I had to live with it, I d still recommend it as it is not as noticeable when not blatantly looking for it. I m comparing it to a Syncmaster I bought 5+ years ago and paid $400 which was a good deal at the time (22 inch), so this is a vast improvement.

I will provide high res photos and videos shortly.

I like this one -

30" 2560 x 1600 - Which apparently also has a Scaler Chip inbuilt?

My question is have they fixed the XHD 3000 fiasco?

I can link to the XHD 3000 issues link on Hard Forum if no objects or policies against that on this forum.

Do you know for sure or is that an assumption. I remember looking in the customer reviews and people said it wasn't glossy

My monitor is glossy
It is glossy, but not overly so in my opinion. Less glossy than my Acer laptop's screen.

I got mine a couple days ago, and I'm loving it. The base kinda sucks, but I knew that. I plan on getting a VESA mount eventually anyway, and I'll saw off the clear part of the base that's unremovable once my one year warranty is up probably.

The colors are great, and I have zero dead/stuck/bad pixels. I don't notice any backlight bleed either.
