Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 New Build six beeps 4F 55

Hi,

I am relatively new to building PC's and a new build with an Asrock z77 Extreme 4 has six beeps on startup and shows "4F" and "55" in blinking lights. Nothing shows on screen either. I am not sure how to proceed with this problem.

IIRC 4f happened when I bent some pins on my first extreme6. Check those first?

Thank You for the response.
I checked those and it appears to be the problem. Almost all of the pins appear to be bent. Is there any way to bend them back or would it be safest to RMA the board? It was purchased from newegg.

Just send it back. It's better you dont tamper with it and then they blame you for the mess up

That appears to be the best solution. Thank you.

I'm not saying it was your fault, or that it wasn't, but when you get it replaced make sure once you have the socket cover off that you treat the socket like you're defusing a bomb. Never touch the pins and always check the orientation of the CPU before you put it in.

If I had a bomb I would most likely throw it out the window for fear of the explosion.

Just kidding. Thanks for the advice.
