Thread Starter
I looked around and somehow couldn't find a place where everyone shared what they used for networking! So now there is one.

POST YOUR:
> Router/Firewall/Security Device
> Switches
> WAP
> ISP
> anything else notable

I'll start:

---- HOME ----

ISP: Verizon FiOS 150/75
Router/Firewall: CheckPoint UTM-1 Edge N
Access Point: EnGenius EAP300
Other: Motorola NIM100 MoCA Bridge (for TV STBs)
Power: APC 1500VA UPS (6 hours uptime w/o server, 2 hours uptime w/ server!)

---- WORK ----

ISP: Verizon FiOS 50/25
Router/Firewall: WatchGuard Firebox Edge X10e
Access Point: Linksys WRT54GL w/ DD-WRT
Switches: Linksys 16-port 10/100 (main), 2x D-Link 16-port 1GbE (tech bench stations)
Power: NCR 1000VA power filter/UPS (main), APC 1500VA UPS (tech bench switches/server)

Great thread idea! thumb.gif

I'll have to post mine up when I get home tonight. Nice looking cable management by the way (at work).

edit:
Back home now so I'll put up my pictures...

Not very good cable management, but it's not my office. If that were the case it would look infinitely better.

It goes:
Modem > PC (pfsense) > 10/100 Switch > Hosts >>> from the switch I also have an Ethernet over Powerline adapter connecting my room, which is connected by a Gb switch. (I know I'm already limited by the 10/100, but all my machines in my room at least have Gigabit).

Update: I don't know if it counts, but this one is my FreeNAS box. I just set it up a couple days ago. So far I'm pretty happy with it. Soon I hope to get FTP going on it so I can get my stuff wherever I need to.

Amped Wireless R20000G and Amped Wireless R10000 and my cable modem.

I'm currently several thousand miles away from my home network. The best I can do is a Visio diagram.

Device Summary:
  • Cable modem (ISP provided)
  • Cisco ASA 5505
  • TRENDnet WAP (model unknown att)
  • Linksys WRT54G (DD-WRT, bridge mode)
  • Foscam FI8910W IP Cameras
  • Netgear
ReadyNAS Ultra 4
  • Samsung
Smart TV
  • Synaccess NP-02 Remote PDU
  • CyberPower CP1350AVRLCD UPS (not shown)

Upgrade Plans For When I Return
  • Replace TRENDnet WAP with an ASUS ASUS RT-AC66U
  • Replace my PC's Rosewill RNX-N180UBE wireless adapter with an ASUS PCE-AC66

Here is my home and CCIE network. What is not pictured is the 2 wireless AP's to cover my house.

Internet comes into the ASA, AP's are on the Inside interface, CCIE lab are in DMZ so I can securely SSL VPN into the lab when have down time at work or on travel. Switched PDU's are so I can remotely power everything up so my electric bill doesn't sky rocket to $500-750/month. The only 2 items constantly on are the ASA and the MRV Terminal Server.

Switched PDU's are so I can remotely power everything up so my electric bill doesn't sky rocket to $500-750/month. The only 2 items constantly on are the ASA and the MRV Terminal Server.

I need this in my life. I wouldn't know how to work half of it, but it's cool and I need it. I'll just get my network admin friend to come set it up. tongue.gif
