You only buy what you want right?

PS: My only apple product is a 2004 eMac so yeah, mucho hipster here.(And yes, I still like it better than my other windows computers)

I'll admit a lot of unnecessary hate comes with being popular, but there are a whole lot of legitimate reasons for some people to hate Apple. As there are with any company. The only company that I hate more than Apple is Comcast.

As much as I love this irony, the bottom line is viruses, malware, or other nefarious forms of software require the user to go somewhere on the net for them to be downloaded. Any easy fox would be to stop looking a porn and stop going to shady websites. If you can't navigate through the world of the internet then you have no place being there. For example being a white male, I would not walk through the hood screaming the N word without any form of protection. The fact that so many people think that net is their safe little playground for fun and games is mind blowing.

Java is the only virus anyone really has to worry about on Linux or Mac. If they have one successful release without a serious exploit, I'd be surprised.

Yeah this,

Also, to the people saying "can I sue apple for false advertising"

The answer is no, they don't say Mac's don't get viruses, I believe the claim was "150,000 viruses on a PC, not on a Mac" which is not the same as saying they are immune, only an idiot would say that smile.gif

Is all this bashing on Apple to make Window users feel special? Like seriously so what it got infected? Any notable proof that it did anything worth while? If any of you knew anything about computers you would know they all can get a virus/malware/etc.. so why do you keep stating the obvious like 10 year old children? "OMGZUZ APPLE GOT A VIRUS NAHNAHNAAANAAAAA". --But but!! Mac users always say MACS Don't get viruses!!!!!-- You know how many dumb things Windows users say, like how can you honestly say Mac users are "dumb" because they bought a computer in which you think is overpriced but you spent 2.5k on a computer to play video games or to have the latest tech? Like honestly step back from your shell and just look at a unbiased view, Mac users say dumb things and guess what so do Window users.

Now that an Apple is infected it's.... "so what"?

After years and years and years of "it just works".

That's why.

I don't love or hate companies in general. But you will not find one single item created by apple in my house. Not one. Apple makes great products. Writes great software. Then they ratchet the price to a ridiculous level and lock you in with artificial barriers with accessories and competing products. In the consumer electronics / personal computer space, anyone could make anything "just work" with that model. No Genius required.

They put you on a reservation.

Until that changes, my house will be an Apple-free zone. Most others are welcome.

Honestly, there's no point in trying to argue with fanboys. Windows fanboys will hate apple with passion, as if the existence of apple as a company itself is the worst thing to happen to humankind. Whatever you say isn't going to make them change their minds so just stop. Personally I've stopped trying ages ago.

I'm very, very happy with my new macbook that I got after 4 failed windows laptops. I don't care if people think it's overpriced, I like it a lot and that's what counts.
