Steelseries Sensei issue :(

Thread Starter
Hey guys. i got the steelseries sensei for a month now with the steelseries mouse mat 9HD.
so the problem is since i got the mouse it always feeld unconfortable... now today i plugged my other mouse in razer Abyssus and everything was SMOOTHER. its weird it seems there was a little deley on the steelseries sensei.. is this the mouse itself? becaue me myself felt a big difference between the too. little bit dissapointed with it if it is the mouse itself....

any suggestions?

thanks in advance.

If you're getting a noticable delay in response, it's probably the mouse needing to be RMAed, or your USB ports are crap, or being lagged from a BIOS option, or hardware interference.

As far as the mice go, the Sensei is laser (Avago 9500) and the Abyssus is optical (Avago 3888). Laser mice typically feel artificial and optical mice typically feel raw/unforgiving in their input, so you may just really not like laser mice.

I personally am on an optical (Deathadder 2013) right now, and though I really like the mouse, I personally find the tracking/movements on my Sensei better and more accurate to how I want my actions represented digitally. Unfortunately the slick metal top ruins the Sensei for me personally so I used it for appx 1/3 of a year and began looking for replacements. ******* love the design of the mouse itself though. I wish SS would just make a matte/vynl Sensei instead of the crappy [RAW] which is not even the same stripped product.

Yup this is something I felt when I tried both sensei and sensei raw (same sensor I think) the tracking always felt off like it wasn't 1:1 with my movements, like gridiron said it felt artificial. Definitely felt different than optical mice.

It feels off because it is off. Current Avago laser mice do not have 1:1 tracking but your abyssus does.

I'm really enjoying all of these recent posts from people noticing and complaining about the flawed tracking of these sensors. If enough people stop buying these mice then avago might have to actually do something about fixing it or releasing a new model that tracks properly. Go back two years ago and everyone thought those that noticed this were crazy.

Steelseries should really update their line-up soon, the damn crap "metal" coated Sensei has been out for almost 2 years

There's not much point really. They'll just release more great shaped mice with sub par sensors under the hood.

Oh I doubt that.

Funny story, but I wont comment.
