exhaust fan is making a scratching noise

Thread Starter
The exhaust fan in my haf x is making a scratching noise. It usually goes away after a while, and it's not that loud, but it's annoying. The noise isn't constant, it kinda pulses as if part of the bearing wasn't lubricated. I moved the fan once, rotating it 90 degrees, but I don't think that's the problem.

If the case is still in warranty you should put in for a erma through Cooler Master's website for a replacement and wish you luck in them filling it fast enough.

Otherwise just get another fan.

Those 140mm Cooler Master fans are "meh".

It turned out that the cable was vibrating against the fan, making a buzzing noise; as soon as I moved it, the buzzing stopped.
