gtx 560 ti OC

Thread Starter
i was wondering if my overclock settings were okay for this card because i noticed my voltage was considerably lower than other oc's i have seen of this card. I have overclocked my evga 560 ti fpb to a core clock of 950mhz (stock 850mhz)(memory stock 2052mhz) and only had to bump the voltage up from 1012mv to 1025mv. am i undervolting this thing? it has passed the furmark burn-in test for 15mins no artifacts and a max temp of 68C. I was also wondering if my cpu would be holding back my card at all. i have an i7 950 (stock 3.07ghz). i am new to computer stuff so please forgive my lack of knowledge smile.gif

The voltage depends of each card, each chip is different. For example, mine does 1000MHz at 1006mV.
You could try to reach the 1 GHz if you bump your V a little more wink.gif

It's unlikely that your CPU is holding back your performance, although there are some games that do benefit from higher CPU performance. You should be able to get a pretty decent overclock on the CPU if you decide to go that way, as long a you have an aftermarket cooler on it.

1025mv for 950mhz core is pretty normal, again like the others said... results will vary from one card to another.
I personally only needed 1012mv for 950mhz core. But needed to bump it up to 1062mv for 1000mhz core and 2600mhz mem.

As for your i7 950 bottlenecking the 560Ti, that's not really much of an issue. At least not enough to hinder your gameplay performance much anyways. If you're intent, overclock your CPU as well if you've got some decent cooling on it. The i7 950 is pretty decent overclocker on its own.
