Deathadder 2013 firm ware, Synapse 2.0 questions

Hey everyone.

So I will be receiving my new Deathadder 2013 today (along with my Black Widow Ultimate 2013 and Goliathus mouse pad) and I have a few questions.

Should I do a firmware update? I have read mixed reviews on this, some say yes some say no.

Synapse 2.0 is the same thing, I've read that some people hate it but I've seen other reviews where people say its just fine.

All these posts are rather dated so I wanted a few fresh opinions on the subject.

Since I will be having the mouse and the keyboard plus I am planning on using the custom DPI settings and profiles for the mouse I'm guessing Synapse is a must.

The latest firmware update for DeathAdder 2013 fixes the spinning issues that occur in the sensor.

Remember to install Synapse after you plug in the mouse and let Windows detect it.

I installed Synapse and it's pretty light compared to the older versions of Synapse. I would rate it about the same as Logitech Gaming Software/ Setpoint and CM's Spawn driver software. Once you dial in your preferred settings you can just exit out of Synapse or uninstall it entirely. I just set the DPI to 800, polling to 1000 and left the scroll LED on but I didn't set macros or any calibration/ LOD adjustments.
