i do see some posts here about overclocking the graphics card? Ive heard about overclocking but i'm not sure if i would do it. is it safe?

would it be worth it to get this

over this.

just for two monitors? plus F1ynn said I could add more cards over time. which I saw on a motherboard. and yes ill have a look at the other brands of graphics cards. I assume there really is no difference on the GTX series when it comes to brands?

thanks for the help guys!

Do you prefer NVIDIA card only? I mean for the price of 660 Ti, you probably better get a HD 7950...because have more VRAM, and Larger BUS Bandwith...it will definitely help you when you consider to play at a higher resolution in the future.

Well my friend told my that Nvidia is generally better, he compared it to a ford Pinto vs a Ferrari thing. Haha sorry if that sounds insulting. he said some stuff I didn't really understand.

7950 is your goal my friend.. 3GB of ram and over clocks to 1200-1300Mhz.. you will never regret that..
the price of the 4GB nvidia cards is higher than the 3GB highest end Card 7970 which is around 400$ and if you get that 7970.. you will never regret it smile.gif

Would personally go with the AMD card for the money.

OP if you want a Nvidia card only go for EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB. otherwise go with Sapphire HD 7970 OC (1 ghz)or Sapphire HD 7970 Ghz vapor-x(1.05 ghz).

Yes it is called an SLI which to explain simply is that you can hook up another graphics card with the one you already have. So you can take a 660 and add it with your current 660. it doesnt quite double the performance but it can greatly increase your overall performance.

haha you really relate stuff to cars I think I remember you making a joke about an enzo once. tongue.gif

OK so i will give the 7970 a look, any particular brand I should look at?

@F1ynn yes! Haha I think that was on the whole Sim city ordeal!

Sapphire 7870 XT is a bit better than the 660ti for ~ $225

http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-11199-20-20G/dp/B00AWKYB1M

And the 7950's are a definite improvement for the same kind of money as the 660ti
