WoW favors Nvidia right - Page 3

Old game, old engine, old assets, old requirements. You won't need a crazy card to max out world of warcraft, in fact you will probably be cpu bottlenecked before you are gpu bottlenecked even on a 570

For WoW you need a super fast cpu especially for 25-man raid. With my 965be i have like 5-10 fps sometimes tongue.gif Clock your i5 around to 4,7-4,8 you dont need to change your gpu for wow

I don't think so, I noticed a huge jump going from a 6970 to 7970 with the same CPU and clockspeeds.

WoW today is a far cry from 2004 WoW, it's way more demanding. They've done a nice job tweaking the graphics with each expansion. Anyone who actually plays the game knows this.

Either card you get, you still need to turn the settings down in 25 man raids. I run a 7970 and keep it at medium settings getting around 80-120fps in 10 man. I'm shooting for 120 though.
I love how people still use the spec from 2004. rolleyes.gif

In Pandaria 25 mans with my i7-860 and HD 6970, I was dipping down to 15 FPS with everything on high, not even ultra. I have yet to install the game with my new setup, but I'm hoping to rock steady at 60 FPS under full stress. Sitting in a city, that will probably equate to 200 fps, but thats not what I want all the power for.
