Gigabyte warranty transfer?

Can anyone confirm that gigabyte's warranties are transferable (an ATX mobo if it matters)? I assume they would be, as they go by serial numbers, but I can't actually find anyone saying for sure that they are.

You sure they actually do transfer though? I'd hate to have problems after selling someone something.

As long as it's based on serial numbers and not registered owners then all is good.
