I find that MSAA X4 with everything else max is where I get the absolute best! This is a superb game for graphics! thumb.gif

I don`t think nvidia is applying AA properly, someone needs to look into this bcoz this is what they did b4 & said it was a bug mad.gif

The high and low settings on nvidia make no difference lol
post #53 of 58
Does anyone know about a Crysis 3 benchmark with very high settings no AA?

Why would they do that?

Yeah, seems that SLI disables the option to select SMAA x4 H - Don't know if this is a driver or game issue???
Is this the same on your Titan SLI? Or is it just me?

I tried MSAA X4 and it does indeed run somewhat smooth for me, but I definitely use up all of my 1.5GB VRAM, and it even introduces some input lag for my setup.
Have you compared SMAA x2 performance to this? I see less aliasing with SMAA overall with almost the same level in performance... as my previous screenshots show...

I see the differences... even more so on the FPS drop...

At x4 MSAA the game consumes up to 1.8GB of my 2GB VRAM, especially during the first level. I've tested x8 MSAA (using the same level), and I hit 2018mb vram.
I knew I would exceed my vram, but I didn't notice any major performance hit. It never plummeted into the 20s or anything, which I had expected.. Lowest I saw was dips down to 34fps I think. I was expecting the game to crash or become unplayable.

Gifs serious degrade picture quality and make viewing minor details impossible.
