I'm actually surprised they allow root apps on the Play Store in the first place.
Some sanity finally.
I love Google have thought they were nuts for allowing root apps on their market in the first place. Also its not hard to get an add blocker from some other place and install it. Unless I miss-understood the article they are only removing them from the Play Store, Not blocking their install or use on the devices.
So no. this isn't some move by an evil corporation. They have metaphorically said "We won't give you the tools to hurt our bottom line, but we won't stop you form using them. Provided you find them on your own".
I think it was a well played move. We the consumer's are giving a little, and the major Corporation is also giving.
Now if they are trying to make that software not work at all on their devices then its a different story. You can still root the silly thing though.
