overclocked to 4.6 using 1.390V and i am getting 86C max while using linx...i don't think those temps are normal...i tried to reseat the cpu cooler(h100i) for around 10 times or more[YES I AM SERIOUS] here are the pictures of temps:

i have haf x case...i am also thinking this case is the reason for this temperature.....
please help!

I would say the h100i cannot handle the heat load at 4.6GHz. you realise those chips put out a hell of a lot of heat. maybe its time to go custom loop?

Cant afford...the thing is when i had h100 and another 3930k there was a diff in the temps!on other chip i had like 1.440V and was getting 75C max with h100 and thermeltake level 10 gt case

maybe some better fans might drop your temps like ap 15's

There's no point of replacing the fans...i was thinking of replacing them too but after i saw the reviews there's no point....maybe i will get 2c drop no more...on idle i am getting 34c max as you can see...when full load it jumps to 86 something is wrong

What makes you think those are high temps? Looks like very low temps to me. Mind you that you're playing with nearly 1.4v and 4.6Ghz. Not to mention that stress test causes higher temps than any normal usage.

hmm, maybe you should try to get a replacement, because there are alot of problems with the h100's and its possible yours might be faulty.

Oh i completely misread, i thought it was 3770k we were talking about. lol. Yeah, that is way too hot but the chips aren't identical and so i don't think anything's faulty even if your brother is getting better temps. For the voltage i think those temps are still good, but you should probably settle with more mild overclocks for now, and upgrade to custom loop if you need more.
