Front fan stops spinning?

Hi all (sorry if this is the wrong section, but I thought it was appropriate).

My front case fan has a very low rpm, as low as under 300. Sometimes when I start up my pc, it's like it gets enough power to spin up, then it naturally comes to a halt. I've tried messing with "fan controls" in the bios and numerous programs like SpeedFan and EasyTuner6 (Gigabytes own) but NOTHING works. All my case fans are 3pin and it's only the front fan that has this problem :/ Even if it does start up, it's only 300 rpm. Any suggestions and/or fixes? Thanks smile.gif

You can find info in my sig

Connect them directly to the power supply instead of the motherboard, and make sure you aren't using a low voltage adapter on them.

I remember I took off some kind of 3pin to molex or something when i first built it, can I use one specifically to only power the front one?

Yes, it is all stock smile.gif

Yes, you can do that. If that does not work, then there's a problem with the fan itself!

Yea, sadly. I'm frankly quite dissapointed with my choice of the HAF-X. If only I had researched as much into the case as i did into the hardware. The fan filters are pretty much non existant frown.gif

The top filters are a bit of a pain yes but the front filter is so easy to remove and clean.

I have a bit of a strange problem i bought Bitfenix Spectre Pro fans for all the fans slots

The problem i have is that the top and side fans cant turn the right way or the fan blades will hit the case so i have turned them around and removed the side panel filter

So now i have a 230mm in front blowing in 2x200mm fans in the top blowing in and a 200mm fan on the side panel blowing out

LOL just saw you are also from Denmark what part are you from?
