For the CPU, i would rather take a i7-3770 @ 299$CA, or the K version @329$CA. Yes for gaming the i5 will be enough, for i think it is not bad to get more extra raw power for everything else gaming. It is more futurproof. When i build mine this summer, it was 100% sure that i wanted the top i7 processor (beside the Xtrem series). It is a 100$ more than your actual choice, but i think it worths it.

The cooler, i just bought the exact same thing and this is an awesome CPU cooler ! The really really high-end air cooler that you can get on the market. According to me, it is better than the Nocuta and the Thermalright one. To conclude, i won't change anything here.

The thermal Compound, i do not know a lot here, but i heard the Liquid Ultra was the really best (one of) high end thermal compound. I would really give it a try ! It i was to remake my build, i would really pay the extra $ (i think it is 20 or 30$) to get this. It seems this > world smile.gif haha. Some crazy cold performance.

Motherboard, i don't see any problem !

Memory, i think these days there is a lot of good choice. Just get what you think will fit the best to your case ! Just watch the CLx and the Mhz you want. 1600Mhz is standard ivybridge memory speed. (On my sandy bridge, the 1333mhz is strandard, and i got mine OC to 1600mhz with XMP profile smile.gif XMP profile are cool too.. but i dont know if it works with every board ( i have an intel board)).

Storage, i would REALLY REALLY get a 250GB SSD minimum. I think you will run short in space quick enough. I have a Intel 520 Series Cheryville 240GB and i regret a bit. On my side, i install all my games on an SSd to get the best perfs. It is right that you can install everything on your old SATA2 drives.. On my side, i am planning to let my OS and things on my primary 250GB SSD, i plan to buy another SSD exclusively for installing games, instead of isntalling it beside the Windows..

For the case, i dont know really well the 550D. On my side, i have a Carbide 500R. You can check my photos if you want smile.gif No more comments on that point.

About case fans, i think that Noctua are in the top quality fans. Tho, maybe you can optimise the cost paid for what you got.. I like the orange Cougar fans and the Noiseblockers one. But Noctua are really good fans. I dont really have a constructive comment here.

For the PSupply, it should be OK. Just be sure to check your Amperage on the 12v Rail if you are going to SLI anytime in your life, with your actual MB. Get a least a good 35A 40A on your 12volt rail. I got the Cooler Master GX 750 which has an enourmous 60ish A at the 12v raild.. i could start a truck with it haha ! To conclude, the watt is ok. If you want to SLi, check the Amperage.

That was my two cents on your build smile.gif Cash rules everything around me, CREAM. (Wu tang clan tongue.gif ) thumb.gif

Good afternoon.

Thanks for your input +1 rep for you.Your two cent input seemed like 5 dollars. All I may change is the processor it all depends oh how much money I have unless I get the gpu the next year or something and use the gt 620 I already have. I not sure yet what do you think on that

i strongly recommend:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284

AMD FX-8350

for the price in my honest opinion nothing beats it specially if you overclock.

If you plan to build in the summer, why not wait for Haswell? Haswell gets released in the first week of June.

How quiet do you want this rig to be? Be more specific about that.
