I installed the Antec Kuhler 920 today. I installed the software prior to installation as specified in the installation instructions that came with the CLC. One of the last components that were installed was a USB driver. I then proceed to install the cooler into my Thermaltake V3 AMD Edition case, no easy feat mind you rolleyes.gif Upon completion of the process and starting of the machine I experienced no issues, that were apparent at the time! After setting up a custom profile in the the Chill Control V software I started running the AMD Vison Center auto tune for oc'ing the CPU. I know it's idiot mode, but it's an automated process that runs through an incremental increase in clock speeds and checks for stability automatically. I got to 4.9 with no problems and very acceptable temps of ~52 C. I thought great! I then went to pull up HWMon from the hidden icons in my sys tray. I noticed an odd expanding/contracting that was happening every few seconds. I also noticed that my speaker icon sound lines would go from 1-3 bars like an alert was sounding. I then turned on the speakers which were playing a windows alert tone, over and over and over and over and over and over and over. I was like confused.gif I then checked the event viewer/perf mon/res mon to see what if anything was sounding off. There was nothing really apparent, except explorer.exe seemed to have an unusual amount of resources tied up. I was puzzled and then realized that the tone playing was the one that's played when a USB device is inserted or removed, or at least I thought it was. So I started unplugging my USB devices one at a time, then I found the apparent culprit. My HP printer, so I plugged into another port and voila no more tones! I was relieved to say the least, Windows picked that moment to start updating itself, PITA WINBLOWS!!! I said to myself ok whatever, go ahead and do your thing Winblows! After the installation and subsequent reboot I was going to open a proggy that lives in the sys tray. I noticed the same expanding/contraction of said window. I unplugged my printer again, but this time it seemed to be another device. After unplugging anf plugging them into yet another port, no alert tones again. So I ask, has anyone else experienced issues with the Antec Kuhler 920's USB drivers and should I try to reinstall the USB drivers from MS or from my Gigabyte Mobo disc or their website?
