360 vs. PS3 Graphics Comparison - Page 8

i don't really like either system, but the 360 has a better graphics chip (more versatile), a much more developer-friendly CPU, and twice the RAM for 200 dollars less. the only 2 reasons sony's console is so expensive are:

1. cell- that really developer-unfriendly, expensive CPU that had poor yields and stunted the sales in november, and
2. blu-ray- that really expensive, unnecessary technology in a gaming console. at least microsoft didn't force hd-dvd on us

The only reason I would even want to RENT a PS3 is because of Metal Gear Solid 4, otherwise I want nothing to do with PS3. Killzone 2 isn't even that appealing to me anymore.

actually, some reports say about 1 in 4 xbox 360 owners have had failures. just google xbox 360 failure. I think in defense of the 360 tho, many of these were the initial launch units, and most likely the bugs have been worked out of newer units. I will still buy one after i get my PS3. My friends issue was not heat related for sure. He kept it in his basement which was always cold, and he kept it well ventilated. He was a wack job about taking care of that thing as well as the game disks. His newest issue is with the disk drive and games freezing. He also had the three red light issue which is hardware failure i beleive. Im curious to see what the launch problems with the PS3 are. anyone have any info?
