999.99 / 779.98 = 28.2%

Check your math again.

(39.58/55.84)*100=70.88 meaning the Titan is 70.88% as fast as 7970s in CF. You are also pitting a SINGLE card against TWO cards. Yeah it is crazy expensive but there isn't a single card on the market that can compete with it for power. Throw the Titans in SLI and they dominate even more.

Titan is not for everyone!!!!!! It most certainly has its purposes and it is a monster. It is definately NOT for the average gamer or consumer. People need to stop treating it as such. I don't see everyone crying at how rediculously overpriced Intel Extreme Editions are, when a $350 chip will suit the average persons needs by a long shot.

It is like comparing :

to

Of course most of us wouldn't even notice the difference between the CPU's. Doesn't mean its not there and that the $1,000 chip isn't better or worth the money. Get a grip guys.

Skyrim for instance on my 7970 was a stutterfest up until 13.2 drivers. Before buying the 7970, I didn't hear of anyone talking about how bad Skyrim was. But those people didn't go from a 670 to a 7970. Within literally 30 seconds of starting the game on the 7970, I was wondering what the heck was going on as nothing was smooth. I tried multiple drivers etc with no result. Radeonpro got the stutter down to livable though.

Then 13.2 drivers came out claiming to fix the issue and it came very close to doing that. It was then very playable without Radeonpro but it still had it's moments.

But the point is for a lot of people, you don't know that something isn't working well until you experience it working well somewhere else.

I did experience microstutter on skyrim/fallout 3 and new vegas XD Did fix all of them way before amd bring something to the table.....
Now the difference is night and day and only requires a driver at least on skyrim XD

There's nothing wrong with those charts to support what was said.

It was to show 2 Titans vs 2x 690's, or $2000 vs $2000. rolleyes.gif

So that means i can point you out to heaven/valley benchmark threads to compare 3/4 titan vs quads??

I mean XD

or better yet

I traded my 7970's in X-fire for two Titans in SLI. Absolutely no regrets. Crossfire gaming at 2560x1600 vs Titan gaming at 3240x1920 - Titan wins

So i dont have to read anything in this thread and conclude that all Titan go is performance at single GPU level and all the advantages that come with single GPU.
