Welcome to OCN! wink.gif

Well first of all what are you looking for?
You mentioned modding but that can go all sorts of wonderful ways. thumb.gif

Here's some options you would have and may like;
*Overclocking
*New parts, like a new video card or RAM.
*A Nice case or fans with led's.
*Neon.

Not sure what you had in mind? rolleyes.gif

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Not sure where to start really. Anyway here goes - Not wanting to run before being able to walk I'd like to get stuck into some basic case dremeling - at a guess a Mobo tray CPU access hole (think these are referred to as something but what that something is I've no idea) and a case blow-hole. I've very limited experience of overclocking and have done this with a DO stepping Core i7 only. Would like to get into this again though. Case modding and liquid cooling is something I find fascinating. I guess I'm finding this all overwhelming and because of this I really haven't an idea of where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Either a motherboard tray cut-out or a cpu cut-out.

hi and welcome to the best computer forum,
it's called motherboard cut outs.
if you are still in the early stages. don't take on with an expensive case. using a cheap case with good modding will give fantastic results.

Good luck. do lots of reading and you will eventually get what you want. Have fun

Welcome!
I don't work here, I joined awhile back and to that point had literally no experience.
Now I actually get Modding/OC'ng ideas ALL the time.
The watercooling gallery thread alone has been more than worth the read time.
Good luck,we'll see you around!

Haha sorry for overwhelming you, just wanted to put out the options. wink.gif
Well first off all if you know how to install and uninstall computer components you may consider buying a new case.
There are lot's of very cool looking one's for arround $50.
With watercooling I have no experience so sorry for that, you have to look that up.
I also liked modding and started with a new case, then a new psu (power supply for better upgrading possibilities).
Then I bought a new CPU cooler and started overclocking! (with help of this wonderful forum!)
And then I just bought some new fan's and RAM and other stuff step by step I was upgrading my rig and I was/am enjoying it. rolleyes.gif
So it's your choice where to start, we are here to help or guide you to the way you wan't to go. thumb.gif
