What are your results there?

multi of BF3, right? 99% always, well not always, because i play with Vsync and limited to 60 fps, and in this game I never reach 99 is stuck at 98 %. but i only have one 670 @1300/7200 with CPU to 4Ghz

...core i3s don't have a problem keeping 60FPS in BF3, AFAIK. It's only when you try for 120FPS that it matters.

Core i3 will drop to 20's on 64 player maps.

Multiplayer is the key word here. BF3 Multi is actually pretty heavily threaded.

This experience has been with a 965 BE overclocked to 4.0 and a FX-6300 overclocked to 4.6. Coupled with cards like gtx 560, gtx 660, 7850, and a 7870. Tested in FPS titles mostly @ 1080p

If anyone can build an AMD cpu rig and maintain a frame rate minimum of 60 100% of the time......I'm all ears and will run out tomorrow and build it smile.gif

Well what games are you talking about? I've got zero problem getting my overclocked 7970ge (1215 core / 1625 mem) to 100% usage on a stock 8350... Crysis 3 I can't lock at 60fps at very high / high - but a game like dirt 3 is no problem locked at 60fps so it really boils down to the game. And not to sound rude, but a 7870 isn't exactly an ideal card to lock games at 60fps...

An i7 won't lock mutliplayer to 60fps as well in 64 player matches. If anything the 8 thread cpu's (8320/8350 , 2600k-3770k) have a major advantage over standard quads. BF3 will use 7 of my cores without an issue and leave the 8th for background tasks

I must have only been looking at the average frame rates, then.

My 1090t was dropping to 55 ish on 64 player maps, FYI.

I had tried it with a sandy i3 and a 560 (or 560 ti-don't recall) with fraps on, I could see occasional dips to 20's on vanilla maps. This guy here on aftermath maps had worse minimums.

Basically unplayable. Or not to be too strict,it isn't THAT bad for a dual even HT one.
