Easily thumb.gif

I doubt you will go over 850W with intensive overclocks. Unless you have 45 HDDs.

Thanks. Just an fyi, if you use the new version of afterburner (I know, i know I told you to do this a thousand times) you can go into the settings and enable unofficial overclocking mode with powerplay or without powerplay and that fixed my GPU usage problems. My graphs looked exactly like that until I upgraded afterburner and enabled unofficial overclocking mode. For some people if you use the version of UOM with powerplay it makes the screen flicker so if that happens just use the version without powerplay.

Yea definetly give that a shot and if you get screen flickers when using UOM with powerplay don't get scared away. UOM without powerplay support will fix that. I get a few extra fps in benchmarks when I turn on UOM without powerplay support for some reason.

Glad you got 'er up and running! Nice work! You're well under the 1000w limit with your current hardware. That EVGA card for PHYSX is probably cooking along at 20% utilization even while PHYSX is active, and you rarely have the CPU and both GPU at 100% simultaneously.

Not to thread jack or anything like that, but I also happen to snag an engineering sample for a HD 7950 as well. The issue is that it seems to be running at PCI E x2 instead of x16. Anyone have any ideas for how to fix it?

Let me know if I should just make a new thread and discuss there, if we must. Just wanted to save space lol

BTW could you take a photo of your 7950 as well? really interested to see what they look like.

opps misread, try flashing it to a normal 7950 bios and see what happens.
if that doesn't work, probably your ES was a defective ASIC and could only run at x2

On GPU - Z it shows that it supports PCI E 3.0 @ 16x, but its only running at x2, and when I do the render test on GPU Z it only goes to x2 2.0. I'll post a pic of the card in a sec. Meanwhile, anyone have any ideas?

Doing a test run on Crysis 3 only gets it about 15 fps so performance really is suffering a bit
