you shouldn't be overclocking an ES GPU anyways lol, if ur not crazy about ES's (which i am, been looking for ES's for a long time), i'd sell it for like $350 or even more since its an ES (not online since they might find you then AMD's CEO comes knocking on your door) and buy myself a proper 7950

Not necessarily true. There are "lower quality" GPU's that run cooler and overclock very well on air cooling. Best way to tell is to actually overclock it I suppose.

well my 7950 couldn't even break 950mhz without OV and it will just crash, i guess lower asic means more voltage to get the same frequency compared to a high ASIC chip.

It's not an exact science. Results can vary. smile.gif

Its at 1ghz with 1575 mem clock, and seems stable so far on C3, but I have to put it through more tests to make sure.

well i guess you got lucky, mine was prob a really low quality that was prob about to be put into 7870 XT's but HIS was being cheap. I eventually sold it for $250, now waiting for next gen biggrin.gif

x2 as opposed to x16? Uh oh. I'm going to assume you have it in one of the light colored slots on that board. The black and dark brown slots aren't wired for 16 PCIe lanes. Also, your board is PCIe 2.0 compliant, not PCIe 3.0, so the 2.0 part is right on the money.

[EDIT] I see your GPU-Z screenshot, it says PCIe 3.0 x16 @ x16 1.1 - at least you're in the right slot. =) The board is showing 1.1 instead of 2.0 probably because it's clocked down with no load on it.
