Not 1080 but you get the picture.. You dont need 3/4gb for 1920x1080.

 

 

VRam usage doesnt work like CPU load. AFAIK most game will make a dynamic use of vram, which mean that they will try to use what's available. It doesnt mean that you will lag or stutter if you *only* have 1gb or 1.5gb. Correct me if i'm wrong.

 

These guys, for instance, are seeing 1.6-1.8gb at 2560x1440 in bf3 :
